Common Questions
Line-of-Business (LoB) Software
Line-of-Business (LoB) applications are software used to manage company assets and operations. Examples: QuickBooks, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds (ERA Ignite). Note that Bitstream does not administer these applications. You may need to reach out to management, or the software vendor, for assistance.
Why can’t I open an application?
This could be caused by either of the following:
- Computer isn’t connected to the enterprise network — Most LoB applications rely on the computer being connected to the proper enterprise network. On desktops, ensure you are plugged into the correct data port. On laptops, ensure you are connected to the enterprise LAN-WIFI network.
- Another user is logged in, locking the application — Some LoB applications, such as Reynolds, do not allow concurrent sessions. Simply reboot the computer to resolve the issue. It is advised that multi-user workstations be logged out of completely when the user is done.
